1/04/2020 – In this session, I continued to work on the design specifications document for the Welsh language learning program. Specifically Jaime and I work on writing the descriptions for several functions on section 4 of the document. I also worked on the UML diagram for the JavaFX work done by Wojciech. I was sent the generated UML diagram by Wojciech and using draw.io I transplant the information in the generated UML diagram and put it in a properly formatted UML diagram. I worked for a total of 4 hours. 2 hours on the descriptions for the method descriptions between 15:00 – 17:00. And 2 hours on the UML diagram between 21:00 – 23:00.

10/03/2020 – In this session, I continued to work on the design specification document for the welsh language learning program. I specifically worked on implementing several new methods that have been added to the program by Jaime. I spent my time reading through these methods to understand how they work so I can describe them as detailed as possible on the document. I worked for 4 hours between 16:00 to 20:00.

02/03/2020 – In this session I worked on the design specification document. I went through the document formatting it to make it look like what the document is meant to look like. I also read through the document to check for any grammatical and spelling mistakes and correcting them to minimise the amount of mistakes in the document. I worked for a duration of 2 hours from 20:00 to 22:00.

20/02/2020 – Jaime and I worked on the design specifications document for the welsh language learning program. In this session, we worked on crafting the introduction for the document. Firstly, we read through the SE.QA.05 QA document so we have an idea of what needs to be included so we can meet the paper’s requirements. We noticed that in the 3rd section of the document, the outline structure, it states that the structure for the introduction was located in the SE.QA.02 QA document.

In section 3.2 of SE.QA.02, it outlines the subsections that must be included in the introduction section of our document, the purpose of the document, the scope, and the objectives.

Now that we understood what direction we need to go in to complete this section we started working. We worked for two hours between 20:00 and 22:00.

19/02/2020 – In yesterday’s group meeting I was tasked with documenting the session. The document took me 2 hours to finish from the hours of 14:00 to 16:00.

18/02/2020 – Had a meeting with the team to discuss each others progress and assign more work to be done by the next tutorial meeting. It was my job to take down the minutes for this meeting. The meeting lasted 40 minutes from 14:00 to 14:40.

17/02/2020 – Jaime and I continued working on the SE.QA.05 design specification standards document. We worked on the detailed design section discussing how the functions for searching and displaying words would work. We also worked on fixing some problems with the UML diagram and discussed which ADT’s would be best for the program. Also, a version control table was added so we can keep track of when we last worked and so the rest of the team can see our progress. We worked on this section for two hours from 18:00 to 20:00.

12/02/2020 – Jaime and I worked on the SE.QA.05 design specification standards document. We have completed 4/6 parts of the document and will soon move onto making the UML class diagram along with any other unfinished parts of the document. This session took place between the hours of 16:00 and 22:00.

04/02/2020 – Jaime and I discuss our plans for the architecture for the welsh language learning program. We then proceeded to document the session for the two hours we worked on it. We split the work so that we would work for an roughly hour each. We worked from the hours of 16:00 to 18:30. After this step we will be working on implementing our design by creating a prototype in Java and presenting it to the group for discussion.
